Secure access to the university network from external locations, such as from home office or during business travel.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The VPN service cannot currently be reliably maintained due to a provider change. The Virtual Desktop environment Virtual Desktops (WORK-VD-1.0) is available as the recommended alternative.
The VPN service is based on Cisco AnyConnect and establishes an encrypted tunnel connection to the university network. After successful login, all internal services are available as if on-site. For questions, the IT helpdesk is available (COMM-HELPDESK).
Jade University user account (User Administration (SECID-UADM-1.0)); Cisco AnyConnect client
Usage:
1. Start the Cisco AnyConnect Client
2. Enter VPN server address: ra-vpn.jade-hs.de
3. Log in with long username: ab1234@hs-woe.de
4. Confirm access profile with 'Accept'
5. After login: VPN client appears in system tray (Windows)
6. Check connection status via VPN client icon
7. Disconnect via the same icon
