State-wide cloud platform for students and staff of Lower Saxony universities with shared digital services.
The Academic Cloud is funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and operated by GWDG (Göttingen). University members can log in at https://academiccloud.de via federated authentication through their home institution (DFN-AAI/Shibboleth). The platform offers cloud storage, a chat service (Rocket.Chat), a wiki system (WIKI.js), virtual machines (GitLab runners), and further services. Cloud storage is based on ownCloud and enables cross-institutional file sharing.

- Cloud storage – Based on ownCloud. WebDAV: https://sync.academiccloud.de/remote.php/webdav. Desktop sync via ownCloud client. Cross-institutional file sharing for research.
- Project management – Based on OpenProject (open source). Work packages, Gantt charts, agile boards, time tracking, wiki, forums. Authentication via Academic Cloud SSO.
